Blu Ray Rippers
Hey there.
This is my first site here.. I didnt even know blinkweb had this service..
I will write updates here regarding my blu ray ripper project. Its opensource, so any developments made there should be posted here.
I will digg this when i have some better developments.. till now this is just a personal journal thingy.
Write now I am in the coding stages of the blu ray ripper and will need some help with the interface in VB.
So till my project completes i will fill this place by writing something about the blu ray:
Blu ray is obviously better quality, but not as big of a jump like vhs to dvd. From what i predict i will be using classic dvd and windows xp for as long as i can. Blu Ray is still struggling to be adopted by the masses. Players just dropped to $200, and sales numbers are still shaky.
Cable and satellite providers must be encouraged to open their HD content to Blu-ray recording, or pushed to include a Blu-ray recorder as standard in their set-top boxes. The Blu-ray association must loosen the controls on Blu-ray playback software and encourage the creation and availability of some Blu-ray player software for Linux. Cable HD isn't even as high quality as over-the-air HD, nevermind stuff being viewed over an internet connection.
